VLIG GTC80 | Compact Crawler-Mounted Multi-Purpose Drilling Rig

The VLIG GTC80 is a versatile, lightweight crawler drilling rig built for professionals and owner-operators who need serious drilling performance in a highly portable package. Designed for water well drilling, geo-research, and heat pump installations, the GTC80 punches well above its weight — capable of reaching depths that larger, heavier rigs would struggle to justify on confined or access-restricted sites.

Power & Performance

The GTC80 is fully hydraulic-powered, driven by a Briggs & Stratton engine with electric start. Engineered to strike the perfect balance between power, weight, and cost, it delivers impressive results with minimal noise and vibration making it equally at home in remote rural locations and busy urban environments.

The rotary head produces 850–1,100 Nm of torque at up to 60 rpm, providing strong, controllable drilling force across a range of ground formations. Engine output can be upgraded from 14 hp to 23 hp for more demanding applications.

Lifting & Drilling Capacity

The GTC80 delivers a maximum pull-up force of 1,500–2,000 kg, a pipe feed length of 1,500 mm, a maximum drilling depth of 100 m, and a maximum drilling diameter of 200 mm. A water swivel head is included as standard, supporting flushing and down-the-hole (DTH) drilling methods.

Stability & Operator Safety

Three hydraulic stabiliser cylinders with block valves keep the machine secure and level on uneven ground. Progressive controls and a clamping head with double drop protection for drill pipes give operators confidence and safety throughout every rod change.

Portability & Site Access

The robust chassis and components are mounted on crawler tracks, ensuring mobility and stability across various terrains. Thanks to its compact size and low weight, the GTC80 can be transported by van eliminating the need for specialist haulage and dramatically reducing mobilisation costs. It is very easy to set up and install, making it ideal for both remote and urban locations.
